sneaky peaky of the old bell and chain

Jennifer, honey, look away if you want to be surprised.

Remember last week when I pulled out my supplies and made that necklace for my best friend ?
Well, I haven't given it to her yet, but I can't help showing you.

See the detail on the links of chain? I love it. The chain and the bell came from a thrifted piece.

Here, you can see the bell better in this shot:

The stones are  carnelian, sodalite, and turquoise.
This is how it looks when worn:

I have been wearing it to give it some love and make sure it's comfy. I do feel a bit like a puppy with the jingle-jangle.

Woof!

I am so happy that Pushing Daisies and Project Runway are on tonight!

Wow! Super cool necklace. I really love the addition of the bell--quite an unusual one. Your friend is lucky :-)

So unique...love the bell and all of the little details...I love pieces "collaged" from different previously loved ones...to be loved again...

Very pretty. It looks really nice as it's modeled. That must be tough to give away. Alot of times when I make something for someone else, I want to keep it myself after I finish it-lol.

Lucky gift recipient on this one.

Thank you Lisa- yes sometimes I do find it hard to give away pieces that I love! But on this one- I was making it specifically for Jennifer, so I really wanted to give it to her!
Debra- thank you! I love using the old pieces to add some texture and interest- makes it not just another beaded necklace. What I really want to do is learn silversmithing! Not like I need another hobby...
