286: the shop, these days

Hey sweet friends,

Here on the Cape, we're gearing up for a supposed snow storm! If it happens, I'll try to get some good pics for ya.

I can't believe Christmas is only a week away.Less! I have been rearranging the displays at the shop to make room for new product.

(yes, plans are in the works to have an online shop soon!)

Yep, Amy Ruppel magnets.

Yep, boygirlparty magnets.

I love my little shop. It has been so much fun. I can't wait to get to do some real buying for the spring and summer season! Woo hoo!

Yesterday, I painted up my chalkboard with our new hours:

(actually, i need to change it already because after the holidays it will be 12-6 on Thursday and Friday!)

I can't remember if I told you about this before, but you can paint on a chalkboard with gouache (an opaque watercolor-like paint)! With water, it wipes right off.  Gouache is sold in tubes or cakes, like watercolors.  I love my Pelican cake set.

mmm, nummy. Oh look,  a Zeus hair is in that picture.

Oh, look. A Riley hair is in that picture.

(By the way, i am such geek watching this morning's Today Show and smiling at all their exploits this year.)

xo,

m

We are bracing for the storm here in New York, too. I'm excited that you're going to have an online store because I probably won't get to Cape Cod before next summer.

Stay warm today and have some hot chocolate!

We're getting ready for the storm here in RI too. I LOVE your sign with the hours. So laid back....I love that. More people need to be that way in my humble opinion. I can't wait for the on-line store either. I see so many awesome things in the pictures that I know different people in my life would love and yet no way to get them!!

I just love the magnets and those rock necklaces are really cool. The tin boxes look fantastic too. Just too much stuff. You must have so much fun buying for your store! Have a great christmas. We are in heat here so it is fun to hear of a snow storm while we have our air con on :) (OZ)

You should sell me some of those rocks just plain It's really hard to find those small smooth skipping type stones here and I use them for carving. check out mine at http://allthingscolorful.blogspot.com/
