201: size bust hip

Yes, really. Twice in one day.

I couldn't wait  to get started with showing you the awesome stuff I scored  last weekend.
At a church sale, I spied a couple of boxes of sewing patterns and started rifling through them.

I pulled out these first:

Followed by a couple of others:

Then one of the ladies who was working the sale excitedly said,"You sew?? Oh, I'll make you a great deal on these! How about 3 dollars for that whole box?"

Sold! And a smaller box for 2 bucks.

And look at what I discovered when I got home and emptied the boxes onto the lawn:

Hey, if you haven't already, don't forget to leave a comment on the 200th post for a chance to win a Yummy Goods  Prize!
What will it be? Well, I'm still working on that, not sure. So far I'm thinking a bunch of fabric, maybe a little painting, jewelry supplies, cool rusty bits... Perhaps a vintage sewing pattern? You know, if you're into that kind of thing.

Is it wrong that I'm TOTALLY coveting your pattern haul? Those are AMAZING and look to be in really great shape. The kids patterns especially are just awesome!

Oh, you lucky duck! Some of these styles are being redone now for folks who love vintage (like me). A couple of those
60's and 70's look frighteningly familiar! ha. Have fun deciding what to do first. Nerm

The kid's clothes patterns are DIVINE.

Have you started your very own "hobby apron" yet?

Ah....the Piece Goods Shop...I spent many an hour there trying to find the right fur or burlap for the drama club costumes. I remember when they were the only game in town. Yes, the box is what I noticed...

No, really, those are just amazing. I wish I frequented yard sales etc. I think that's more patterns than I own. And I ADORE the kids stuff.

I love the shape of vintage little girl dresses with their full skirts and sweet details. I bought a bag full last year and they were all in a brown paper bag. Sadly my husband mistook them for recycling (!) and he put them curbside and they are gone forever! Arghhh!!!

I hope I didn't offend you or anyone with my Mary invocation. Sometimes you just have to swear to Mary.

Oh wow! The apron patterns! I'm currently in love with the idea of apron patterns. I'm waiting to see if this will pass or if I really need to indulge.

Ugh. I'm totally pea green with envy! Those children's patterns are so great!!

Remember you spoke about jealousy a couple of posts ago.. I even posted about how I deal with it.... I have to admit i'm having a moment of jealousy - right now!!! looking at that lovely stash of patterns... those are FABULOUS - loving those little dresses, petticoats... way cute. And then there's those gorgeous fabrics... Okay over the coveting now. (i think!). Thanks for sharing. Enjoy:)

Wow, what a deal on all those old patterns. My two favorites are the little girl's dress with an apple pocket (too cute!) and the hobby apron with all those great pockets. Hmm, I guess I'm having a pocket moment. :-)
