188: happiness (tm)

Good morning.
I am sitting here  curled up on the couch in my pink robe ( in my pink living room!)

I am drinking my soy coffee. I think I have mentioned it before, but this is what it is: I take a little bit of water and mix it with Maxwell House Bold instant coffee. Then I add plain soymilk and microwave it. It tastes just like a soy latte. I do eat dairy, I just am trying not to have as much sugar - that's why I have this instead of regular coffee with cream and sugar.  The soymilk has enough natural sweetness that it doesn't require additional sweetening up. Yum. Plus, I'm sweet enough already, right?

Some little bijoux from an estate sale a couple of weeks ago:

Again, sorry for the blur, but you know I had to include the cat feet.

Love these yellow clip ons. I think they might become pendants.

And there was only one of these, but it is so darling:

This will definitely become a centerpiece for a necklace, after it gets a good scrubbing with a toothbrush!

Oh, and this, because there is never enough:

......................................................................................................................................................

I noticed this morning that I am nearing my 2ooth post! Funny, It took me nearly a year to go from 1 to 100, but only 4 months to go from 100 to 200! Guess I finally got into a groove.

Speaking of getting into the groove, I must admit that I love Madonna. I don't want to, I mean I feel like I shouldn't for some reason, but I just can't help it. There, I said it.

Ok, back to the topic- my 200th post. You know what that means: giveaway, baby! I think I might put together a  one big one and use my little bundles of bits as extras so there can be more than one winner.

As for the big prize, I am still figuring out what it will be. Of course, I don't have my fabric to give away yet, so it will have to be something else. Maybe some other Free Spirit designer's fabrics. Maybe some of my vintage fabric stash? Maybe some estate sale goodies? Jewelry made by me or supplies? Artwork? Maybe all of the above? Any suggestions?

As a thank you to the people who are kind enough to link to me, I think I will have the big prize be available to them only, with the smaller goodies available to anyone. Does that sound fair? So now that I've given you a head's up, it's fine with me if this spurs you to link to me, I mean, you were just about to anyways, right? I won't feel like you're doing it just for the prize. I promise.

I found the most awesome old game at the same estate sale where I got the jewelry above. The Game of Happiness! Yes!

I had never heard of it, have you?

This made me chuckle:

Happiness is trademarked!

And this, well I just love this:

The Rainbow of Happiness!

This is so good that I am going to have to parcel it out and show a bit each day.

The Game of Happiness. How awesome. Do you know what year that's from?

The rainbow of happiness has made me think about other things of happiness -- maybe I could make a game out of them? Right now my kid's playing in a pile of sweatshirts. The sweatshirts of happiness? He's in his adorable shark pajamas... Pajamas of happiness, of course. And me? I'm drinking a cup of happiness in the form of a homemade latte. Mmm Mmm Good. (tm)

I think life DOES love me. Thanks for pointing that out.

Who wouldn't want to play the game of happiness? I just wouldn't want to lose.

Happiness in a box, I'm sure you didn't pay nearly enough for that! :) Are you going to frame that and put it up on your new pink wall? And photograph that wall, will ya!

Maybe those who linked to you pre-give away (I'm holding my hand straight up!) could be entered TWICE and those who link post-G.A., just once. Is that bitchy?
I am thinking that it might be from the late 60's\early 70's.
I have never heard of it though. But it does bring a smile to my face just looking at it!

Well I guess this now means i just have to link you!! I always thoroughly enjoy your blog but I always hesitate to link others to mine.... I guess I'm shy about asking. All your giveaway ideas are lovely - and personally would be delighted with any little tricket/fabric - okay combination of both would be good too!! LOL

This will prove how computer savvy I am not, but I do not know how to link to you or I would. I guess I will figure it out as I go, just like everything else. Better late than never! I am still learning and am only a beginner.
I love old jewelry too. I use to put clip on earrings around the top of terra cotta pots to dress them up a bit. Love the one that lost it's mate. As always thanks for the inspiration! Amy

Oh my goodness - so retro! LOVE the colors and style of that game. I don't remember this one, but I (groan) had the mystery date game :-) I think I just loved to play with the door haha
