I know, it's a little weird! I mean, look at the expression  on the cat! He's leering.

This one is cute:

A kitty napping under a lemon tree topiary. With birds!

Ok, that's enough for today. I'll save the batiks for another time. And then that will be it.

.........................................................................................

I went to Joanne's last night and bought some of the cheapie $2.99 patterns for some cute summery tops. I'll let you know how they work out. I also scored two yards  of a linen/rayon blend in a beautiful pinky purple. 3 bucks a yard! I think it's going to look amazing with my echino for kokka fabric.

Drat. I just wrote a bunch of other stuff that got lost somehow.
Bah, I'll rewrite it tomorrow. I have to go 'shake a tower' and get ready for work.

It kills me to leave this post all boring-style like this, but what are you gonna do? They can't all be winners.

xo,
m

Great finds ... ESPECIALLY that adorable lemon tree topiary! That's just so sweet. (Of course most anything with lemons are a favorite of mine.) Have a good week!

Your "shake a tower" thing reminded me of something funny that I thought you'd appreciate. So, my sister-in-law told me this. When she was first living with her husband (I'm pretty sure this was actually before they were married but that's irrelevant), whenever she said she was going to hop in the shower he always told her to be careful. She thought it was nice but also sort of strange that he was always telling her to be careful in the shower. After all, she'd been showering her whole life. What was his deal?

It was literally five years later that she finally realized he was making a joke. She always said she was going to HOP in the shower; he wanted her to be careful hopping.

Now in our family we always tell everyone to be careful whenever they say they're going to take a shower and no one ever knows why except for us.

And now you. : )

Don't tell anyone, but I'm digging that little kitten in the first fabric.

Looking forward to see the shirts you make!
