I like it  better when I post everyday.

Where have  I been?
Um, you  know, in the bathroom crying  a  bit. Followed by  Haagen Daz and potato chips for dinner.

You know I like to keep it real, but I think it  would be mind-numbingly boring for you if I really  kept you  up to date on all that happens up in here! I know I'm bored with it!

And another thing that has been keeping me away: thedamnspacebaron thelaptopisn'tworking! Ihave to gobackovereachsentence and poundon the space bartogetittowork.Letme tellyouthatisapain intheass.

New  laptop on order anyways (t0 accommodate the new version of my design program), but in the meantime, ugh. I need to get some canned air to blow out this keyboard. See? See how boring it is around here?

Bah. How about some pretty fabric photos?

Some Joel Dewberry, his new home dec weight Ginseng line:

I think we are going to use that pink orchid print to recover the seats on the dining room chairs. (The 'dining room' is just part of the living room, just so you know.)

I'm lovin' my Lemony Snippet quilt top so  much, that it inspired me to start a tote:

And the other side:

Not sure what the lining will be yet.

Maybe one of these prints from Tina Givens's Annabella collection:

I am behind on emails and sending out gifties. Please forgive me. And if you are a person who comments regularly, you know I usually like to respond to each comment and I am behind on that, too.

Your comments keep me company.
I must admit, I get a little pouty when  I don't hear from you! That might be a little pathetic, I  know. Oh, well. Maybe someday I'll be one of those bloggers who can post a photo of their cat's ass and have hundreds of comments. But for now I know I have to work for it and  I treasure each and every one! Has someone made a tee shirt yet that says "Will Blog For Comments" ? Because if they haven't, they should.

So  there. I am showing you my needy side.  It's not pretty! I am tempted to erase all of  that, but I won't. Just promise not to think less of me. I try so hard not to be a comment-whore.

And now I will attempt to bribe you into liking me by showing fabric that is destined for your hands.

That's right, future giveaway booty:

I missed you.

I love the fact that you are so candid on here. It's one of the many things that keeps me coming back.

I feel guilty for lurking here for so long without commmenting...oops...I love your blog x

I don't comment unless I feel I have something to say. I'm boring like that. Of course, I haven't blogged in a couple weeks, either. And I don't get many comments at all. So I know what you mean.

Does this mean we're alike? LOL

Well, just so you know, I stop by here at least once a day to see what new stuff your up to. I'm kinda a stalker like that.

I went through a phase where I wanted tons and tons of comments. And, it seemed like I was blogging for comments only. When I stopped and really thought about it I remembered why I started my blog in the first place. I started it for me. For my children. An outlet. Comments and blog love are just icing. Once I got back to blogging for me then remarkably I had more readers. Strange.

Anyhow, Garden Party is beautiful and surprisingly my local quilt shop has ordered some -- they NEVER order the great stuff I like. I guess I've been in there enough requesting stuff that she has decided to make a go of some more colorful prints. Wonder if I'll see Sugar Snap there . . . wouldn't that be cool!!!!

I'll comment a couple times a day if you promise NOT to show a pic of your cat's ass........*L*

OMG, how did you get your hands on the Garden Party fabrics already?! I'm so envious. Thank you for the cheerful fabric photos - always cheers me up while I'm at work. (yes, ahem, at work.) You also cheer me up with your honest humor - thanks for being you!

Yep. My blog is a baby still and I notice that if I go days without comment, I think I have scared my two readers off. :) I do love your blog, I must say.. and because I have you on my blog list, I can always tell when I log into my blog whether there is a new post on your blog. What a handy little thing!

I really want your fabrics! *sigh* Im into making things from old fabrics but when I see the fabrics you get.. I DO want to just go out and buy a whole lotta new fabrics! They are so damn beautiful! Although I do believe in balance.. maybe a bit of new is in order?!

Okay, my problem with commenting is that I leave you a book. Not a comment. So I try to NOT post as much as I desire.. Im sure there is someone out there tired of my books!

Chips, ice cream and crying? Sounds like I'm due for a session soon.. My last week was *blah* but I didnt hit bottom.. so it's going to linger for me. I hope your's passes quickly! I'll send you my last good vibes then take a bath to replenish my reserves! Later lady!

argh! I hate when I make those spelling, punctuation, grammar mistakes! I should have reread it before sending.. Excuse the ' in the "your's" :) unless you wanna read it as "i hope yours is passing quickly" then by all means, read it that way! :) (sorry, i had to get that off my chest!)

All the fabric you showed off in this post is just so darn pretty. Much better than "cat's ass" photos....

You crack me up! We are so much alike it's scary...I can totally relate to the crying in the bathroom and Haagen Daaz dinner, too! Love that you are candid, love that you "keep it real"...love (and COVET) "The Happiness Game" (which we haven't seen any of recently...)

I just came across your blog this morning and I've just spent quite awhile reading some of your back posts. I love your blog! The colors of the photographs; the beautiful projects you're working on; the complete honesty of your life and where you're at....thank you for being so candid.

Now you are going to make me comment on my lunch break, but guilt trips really work, so here I am. I once had a keyboard where the letter 'e' stopped working. Very hard to type a term paper when that happens. Isn't making a tote so completely satisfying? When I am in a sewing funk all I have to do is start cutting fabric for a tote. No real measuring required. Once I get the outside complete I just lay that over my interior fabric and cut to size. It's like coloring outside the lines.

I love it here! Your so open, honest, and candid....no need to bribe here. But I will comment more often - who doesn't love a good comment?

:O) You know I'm pretty sure they do have a t-shirt with : "will blog for comments" on it. I once saw one that said: "will knit for tattoos" . I would have bought if if i knew how to knit...I am seriously lusting over that Annabella fabric. Any idea when your swatches will be added to the Free Spirit web sit? Can't wait to see the whole line. Thanks for sharing. Danielle

Please, please, no cat asses.

OK I was laughing so hard at the "will blog for comments" shirt - that's a great one! I know I think like that too! It's nice to know people like you - even if you don't really know them.
I hope the Haagen Daz is helping - it was my choice of comfort last night - that and a big ol glass of wine.
The tote looks amazing - and I am so jealous you have some Garden Party at your home - can't wait until yours comes out!
Hope today is going better!

Hey girly!!! I read! And now I'll comment more. I completely know what you mean. I know that people read my blog, but I get NO comments. Although I did get one from you and I was very excited about it! I should have told you that :) My life is crazy right now and I've been trying to keep my blog real as well. I LOVE that you do. I could tell as soon as I met you that I knew we could be great friends. I am SO going to make that shirt - and I'll send you one!

I love it when you post every day because it gives me something to look forward to reading at work (oops - did I just admit to blog surfing at work)?! I'm sad I missed out on your last give away (I guess I was busy working) last week....I've been eating a lot of icecream myself these past few weeks...you see I don't drink, smoke, do drugs or any of that stuff so junk food is my weak spot....sigh...my pants don't fit well right now!!
