Oh, yes. Vintage ceramic elves. Love them.

Big feet! And you know what that means. (Big shoes, you naughty bird.)

Look at the the darling expression:

Such personality with just a few strokes.

Uh oh:

Thor makes an appearance! You know you missed him. It was a balancing act to capture this cuteness while being ready to catch one of the figures should Thor knock it off the windowsill. Worth it.

Hey, did I ever tell you that I can juggle? I taught myself in  the spring of 2000. If I've been practicing a lot, I can even juggle four, but just for 3 or 4 passes. That is hard, yo!

Juggling is awesome because it requires total focus. It's actually a great meditation and stress reliever. Learning to juggle is funny, because you absolutely will suck at it for a few hours and then gradually you start to get it.

It's really useful to be willing to be bad at something. It builds perseverance and humility. And in a way, faith. I kind of wish I could go through the process of learning to juggle again, because I sure could use some of that faith stuff.

Ok. So, thank you for posting this message today.

Yesterday during a short intermission in the swimming at the pool with the girls due to a small thunderstorm passing we were in the waiting area. I picked up More magazine and the first page I turned to was a 40ish woman learning the chello or bass or something and she said that it was foolish not to do something for fear of failing. That hit me like a ton of bricks because I have been afraid to use my beautiful new camera for fear of failing.

Then, boom, here I am doing my daily check of your blog and your saying the exact same thing!

Thanks for the being the universe's message to me. What a lovely package. Or should I say yummy?

And, by the way, I don't get the reference in your last post title. But, that is just cause I'm a dork.

I don't get it either, I must be slow, lol.

Yeah, faith is a tricky thing to put a finger on isn't it. This is my daily act of faith, never give up and have faith that it can get better. Whatever it is. The very fact that you keep on is an act of faith. Never give up just do the next thing.

My brain is mush today so forgive me if I sound...slow, lol, as I suggested earlier ;) HUGS!

I didn't get it but I'm not too hip. :)
Loving your ceramic finds. So cute! Now if you could only get your Christmas shopping done now, you'll be really sitting pretty come December!

Hi hon

Beautiful elves! I missed your birthday :( So sorry. I'm sending you oodles of hugs and chocolate bunnies. Hey, the next time we see each other, let's juggle. I didn't know you can do 4 now. Wow. I'm thinking of joining a juggling group that meets on Wednesdays. Some of those folks even juggle FIRE. Yikes. Thinking of you and appreciating your multitudinous beauty.

Love you,
Sue

I totally got the Jackee comment. There used to be this cool place at the beach here called The Pixie Kitchen. It was a restaurant and in the back there was a man made lake with these animatronic pixes shooting out of whale blow holes and the like. I was such a great place as a little kid and your elves remind me of it. They tore it down several years ago and it still bums me out!

uh, I don't get the last post's title either, but probably because I am old with 3 teens/preteens. (makes me want to google it when I am done here)...

I DO get the elves though. We have some like that from Linda's grandparents (and some matching yard sale finds) They are totally cool! I love Christmas stuff. We can never get all of our stuff out every season.
Thor's looking a bit skeptical about those guys. I'm impressed about the juggling. That's pretty cool.
