232: a gift of home and hive

Good morning, pumpkins.

Did you know that I love presents?

Take a look at this lovely package I received in the mail last week:

Cute tissue, tied with fabric, bee stickers: Awesome.

And even more awesome? It was wrapped by a boy!

My  pal Scott from Blue Nickel Studios sent me a birthday present:

A handmade mini quilt! So thoughtful.

I love the homespun feel, the stitching and beading. One of my favorite motifs: house/home. And a pink kitty!

Also:

Yup, bee ribbon. You gotta love a guy who pays attention. (thank you so much, Scott!)

There is still time to enter Scott's Tootsie Pop Mini Quilt Challenge - entries are due August 15! It looks like fun!

Wow, a hubby that pays attention and scouts our rust and a guy-friend who makes awesome gifts?!? Someone must be living right these days...

Lucky girl!
Hey Sunshine! Glad you liked the gift and the wrapping...yes, I do pay attention! I remember you saying once on here that the presentation was as important as the present, so I told myself, I had better do a good job at that too! And remembering the bee thing was easy, cause I love bee stuff too!

I am just here to prove that there are some guys out there who can do some "girl stuff" just as well as girls....However, do not ask me to find things in the fridge, or REALLY clean the bathroom, ok? I just don't have enough "girl" powers for that! I can do most boy things too, except fix cars, or follow sports teams.

Are YOU signing up for the Tootsie Pop Challenge?
Happy birthday, girlie! And what a lucky girlie you are. Lovely little gift. : )
