302: sugar snap giveaway, baby!

I'm not sure if you're into this kind of thing, but I have a bundle of fabric that I want to give you.

That's right! It's (finally) time for a giveaway!

For my two year blogaversary, I am giving away juicy selection of my Sugar Snap fabrics:

Some fat quarters, some random sizes, some charm squares:

And not just Sugar Snap! Some other Free Spirit/ Westminster designers fabrics work so beautifully with my collection:

There's some fabric from my pal Anna Maria, of course. We have such a similar color sense. When we stayed together during the tv show taping last August, our piles of clothes were strikingly similar in color! Lots of teal, salmon and fuschia. I love how our fabrics look together.

Mixing fabric lines is so much fun.  How about some Erin McMorris, Tina Givens, and some old school Amy B.?

Nummy nums.

I can't wait to see what you make with this bundle!

You will show me, right? And you will upload your pics into the Melissa Averinos Fabrics flickr pool and the Free Spirit Fabrics flickr pool, right?

Now all you have to do is leave a comment telling me how long you've been reading yummygoods! And make sure you include your email address so I can get in touch with you if you are the recipient!

You know the deal: a winner will be chosen randomly from the comments.

I'll leave it open till Friday, February 20.

And hey, thanks for all the love and congratulations on the magazine cover! As always, your comments make my day and mean so much to me.

xo,

m

Hi, Melissa! I've been reading for about three months or so. I am so intrigued by your honesty, your cleverness, your style, your sense of color, your artistry, your workshop, your shop, and more.

The color-blocked shelves of your workshop grabbed my eye, and I've been with you ever since.

I would be thrilled to play with some of your new fabric line!

Thanks for sharing,

Tammy

Helloooooo Melissa!

I've been reading Yummy Goods since the lovely couple who run fabricsupplies.etsy.com told me about this 'great new designer named Melissa Averinos' and that they would be carrying your Sugar Snap line. I googled you-and BAM-here we are. I'd say that was in August of this past year...

I want to make a whole summer wardrobe for my daughter from your line! And bed sheets! And slipcover my sofa! And QUILTS! Oh, the quilts to be made!

...Um...Ok, I could really continue until it became embarassing.

*HUGS*
Thanks for making (and giving away!) beautiful, yummy stuff.

To be honest, not very long, only about a month or two.... I've been an avid knitter for years, including working with non-yarn materials, but I am brand-spanking-new to sewing. Your Sugar Snap pushed me over the top. My very first completed project is a tunic made with your Plum Wallpaper. There are four yards of Cocoa Lace waiting to be made into a dress with a lovely circle skirt to capture the whole spirographic fun. It's great to be able to peek at the person who is leading me on to so much creative enjoyment.

Melissa, LOVE your bold use of color. I've been following your blog since last year. Even abandoned my husband on a trip to Cape Cod in search of the Yummy Goods store :) I can think of a bunch of fun things for Sugar Snap!

Hi Melissa! Yay for give-aways. I've been reading for around 6 months now - I found you from Jessica's blog when she blogged about you setting up the yummygoods shop.

mmm, I think it is time for one of those yummy fairy mints I picked up last week! It was great to (re?) meet you - I'll be back soon I am sure...

I found your blog maybe a little over a year ago and I literally read the WHOLE thing. I was so taken by your photography. You helped inspire me to start my own and held my hand there in the beginning. I'm not saying this just to suck up but you are welcome to give the "Random number generator" a little help if you are so moved! :)

Congrats on all the success that has come your way in these 2 years!
Cheers,
Tracey

I can't remember when I started reading here - only a couple months ago when I got on Twitter and started seeing who people were following...
