313: light, gold, rainbow

Yay!

Thanks for all the magazine love, yo. You guys are the sweetest.

Oh my god, I am so  full. Just got home from dinner from this great new restaurant on the Cape called Wicked. (website doesn't do it justice.) It's the kind of place I want to go next time I have something to celebrate. Like, maybe next week :o)

Watching American Idol and chillin' after a full day of working on my next fabric line. I am so psyched with how the designs and colorways are coming together!

Can you tolerate more thrift stuff? Am I getting boring?  I hope not.

Stuart wanted to pass these up, but for 5 bucks each, I couldn't let them go:

Behold, The Awesomeness:

Gorgeous decoupaged glass plate. You know, where the stuff is on the back of the plate? Of course, I even love how worn out it is. And the gold. Love the gold.

Pretty birdie:

Avon, baby! Milky glass, stylized design, gold eyes. Ah, jeez. Like I need more knick-knacks.

And this next score, yay! Did you have one of these like I did?

Now I have this and the barn. Just gotta find the treehouse.

xo,

m

I wanted one of those xylophones. Cool finds, as always. Can't believe Stuart was going to let you pass up those lamps. On top of the not-liking-pie thing. ;)

I didn't have one of the xylophones, but I had the barn. I totally forgot about the treehouse though. Did you have the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/julielion/211321798/in/pool-fisherprice">corn popper</a>, the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/71159655@N00/199920708/in/pool-fisherprice/">phone</a>, the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/julielion/133618683/in/pool-fisherprice">clock</a> or <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/julielion/109900035/in/pool-fisherprice">plane</a>? My youngest sister is finding these toys at garage sales for my niece, age 4. I love old toys. They bring back such great memories. My mom made us life size Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls. They were so large that I could actually wear Raggedy Anne's dress, apron and pantelettes.

My brother had the barn and the A-frame! I loved the little picnic table that went the A-frame. And the lamps were a great deal! Now all they need are shade with fabric from your next line! Too Cool!

Oh my goodness! When I read this I knew immediately the tree you are talking about! I was just looking for the "treehouse" and found it on ebay! That was one of my favorite toys as a kid and I would love to have one for my boys. It is an oldie but goodie!

Hi mba...Love your thrift finds. And by the way...hellooooo. if you are going to plug a restaurant could it be MINE please! "The Oyster Company, you'll love it yes you will" That's the jingle the kids made up for it. I'll sing it for you next time I see you.... www.theoystercompany.com I have to say the Wicked place looks good, however....

We still have the xylophone, the barn, school desk and many more of those Fisher Price toys. I got a lot at garage sales when my boys were young and now the grandkids play with them when they come over.
