Oh, I'm a stamper and sticker-lover from wayback, so this was a fun little project:

Alphabet stamps and Cath Kidston labels, a perfect marriage. Needed to label some boxes of sewing supplies.

Slapped them on my random secondhand boxes and voila! (sorry about the fuzzy pic!)

You may have noticed I've made a couple of little changes around here? No?

First, scroll down and take a look at my new copyright  tagline.    :o) Tee, hee.

Second, in the sidebar right there on the right, I added a box for the shop's Facebook fan page . Please sign up if you wish to hear about the new stuff coming in, my favorite customer quotes and general shop goings-on.   I'm not asking you to join just to get the numbers up, because I don't really see the point in that. Rather, it's to help spread the word to potential customers and to keep current customers up-to-date. Know what I mean? We don't have an advertising budget, so help me work it, won't you?

You know what's awesome? A few times a week, I'll get new locals in who have been told about the shop by a blog reader who lives far away! One woman came in and said her sister in Nashville told her to come in. Another visitor was from Florida and brought in her Cape Codder friend. So cool. Such a small world. I so appreciate it when someone takes the time to encourage a friend to come in. That's the best advertising I could hope for, really.

Now that I am a shopkeeper myself, I am so much more aware of how important it is to support local small businesses. Every single sale makes a difference in how a shop does that week. It sounds obvious, but I really hadn't thought about it before!

I pretty much live here and I put so much of myself into it, so it feels  incredible when a new customer takes a moment to tell me how much they appreciate the work I've put into the displays and atmosphere. It's the best! (And someday I might even make a paycheck? bonus!)

So so beautiful. We got them in to the shop in the spring, but they sold right out. We are now restocked!

I love how the shadows make it look like you could reach out and pick up each piece. Oh, I should show you some of the papercutting I was doing a few years back. I'll have to dig those out sometime.
