Hey sweet friends!

Just had to show you some recent thrifted goodness.

Love this virgin mary statuette:

And this footed covered candy dish:

 And I couldn't help myself, I bought my first Beanie Baby. But it's a unicorn. A pink Unicorn with a crazy white mane and irridescent twisty horn.

This isn't thrifted, but you may remember a while ago I mentioned that my dad had a book about stars that one of us kids wrote in when we were little. Dad dropped it off the other day so I could photograph it and show you!

Tee hee! How jaded or cranky do you have to be to think that stars suck??

LOL! We had that same book growing up! It probably belonged to my older brother, who didn't think that stars sucked. :)

okay...so the candy dish was my mom's when I was growing up, I remember it when I was about 12 or so......you better not call it antique...cause I can't be that old!!

and stars are wasted on the young apparently as they most definitely do not suck...

sometimes stars do suck.... but that's just my opion. anyway I love that statue, it's really gorgeous... the thrift stores here are really expensive so it's hard to find good deals you have to really scour the stores.

I didn't buy into the whole beanie baby craze either until they came out with one that looked like a razorback (I'm born and bred Arkansas, what can I say haha). From one unicorn lover to another, have you seen the book "If I Found a Wistful Unicorn"? It's a MUST HAVE!

Hahaha! My mom sent me a book from childhood that has a flip-page comic running down the side of a car hitting a rock and exploding. It must have been my brother drawing it instead of reading in class. I'm sure it couldn't have been me......! Doesn't it make you wonder what they were thinking about when they wrote, "Stars suck"? I love that kind of stuff!
