Yay, yay, yay! I just knew this would go well for you! Love the dress, the quilts, all of it :)
As for what I'd love to see from you next? Additional sewing/quilting (of course) and maybe a color play workbook or something like that.

I would like to see your design process, what inspires you etc. Love the dress -- clothes patterns would be fantastic as well! Swoon looks fabulous, love those quilts!

I think I'd just love to see whatever you come up with! You're the creative genious-not me!

That's easy -- what I'd like to see next from you is an afternoon of tea and scones in the William Morris room at the V&A.

:-)

xoxo

PS
Swoon = AWESOME

How about a 'Lessons with Melissa' CD so that we can learn how to quilt...with you! Maybe with some of your great papercut projects (and films with Beth), too. Finally, and perhaps it is wrong to suggest, you could include some snaps of 'the letter'. xx

I loved the slide show and adore your fabric! I think the next book should, of course, have some sewing projects in it, and include some insight into your work with color and pattern when you design and work with fabrics.

I saw your status on facebook last night about brainstorming your next book - I like what you said about multimedia creativity. Like how you paint/sketch and also arrange things to display on your studio shelves and in your shop. All while being completely true to yourself and authentic. Now that doesn't sound like an easy book to write, but it's all you!

You made it through! Yay Melissa! I would love to see a book about decorating. Your shop is so beautiful and your studio space so sweet...I'm interested in how you come up with how to put it all together.

Awesome video Melissa! In your next book, I would like to read about your journey designing the Swoon line of fabric and how it compared to designing your first line.

Not too tough to see Quilt Dad in a crowd, is it? *L*

I'm really sorry that you get so nervous; everyone else just enjoys you - you should too.

Let's see.....your next book......some things in 3-D, hats maybe? Mixed media objects.

That was an incredible turnout! Congratulations!
I'd love to see a paint by numbers kit from you! I love the wall art you have posted in the past! And/or more discussion on clothing. :)

You looked super cute in the dress. I love your fabric, especially the pink colorway. I'd love to read about how to find your style and own it. You seem to know yourself.

You're too funny! Glad it went well! :)

No matter what the book is about, would love to see stories in it! Your writing is so sweet and funny!

So happy to see that it went well!!! You did an awesome job! Like many others, I'd love to read about some design process too! Thanks for being awesome!

in your next book i think you should mix business with pleasure -- do a wander-over the moors tour of great britain where our favorite hunky actors have portrayed dashing heartthrobs. you could reenact favorite scenes dressed in clothes made from your fabrics with the actors themselves modeling matching ascots and cravats.

or is that too over-the-top? :)

Love the slideshow! Your school house was great, and I particularly loved how well your fabrics work together in those big quilts and quilt tops you showed off.

and, hey! I don't even need a bag because I was lucky enough to be there and get one in person! not to brag or anything:)

Great video! Love your dress. I always like to know how people come up with their designs and color selections.

Awesome slideshow! Congratulations on the stunning turnout and getting through your notes (the "nerves" cracked me up). I think you should write a book with your "voice" imbued throughout. So many times I read a book and it's absolutely droll; I think your humorous and thoughtful nature should be released to help the rest of us unleash our creativity! Show me what you love, what inspires you, and how you transfer that into your craft. Oh, and plenty of unicorn artwork. obviously. ☼

Hmm..in your next book. I think I'd enjoy more of your art work in addition to patterns, of course.
I was at your Schoolhouse presentation (standing against the wall in a green shirt), and I've got to say that when they ran out of the bags in Swoon and I got a plain, dull blue and red one instead, that was one of my top 2 most disappointing moments at Quilt Market. But it was my first Market, so now I know to be one of the first ones out the door!! (The other moment was realizing I missed Cherri House's Schoolhouse presentation.)

So much fun watching the video Melissa!
,,,and she lived happily ever after!! lol YOU DID IT!

I would like to see someone write a book that would inspire someone like myself, who can't (wont?) even sew a button, to pick a project and complete it! I am always in awe and
amazement of people like you who it seems so natural to!

You are one in a million and I am very happy for you!
