378: crazy-ass wallpaper

A while back, a friend of mine posted a photo on Facebook of some crazy old wallpaper that he discovered when he was redoing his bathroom. I insisted that if he was able to remove it in large enough pieces that he send me some.

And he did!

Thanks, Jeff! ( I will miss you at Quilt Market!)

Feast. Your. Eyes.

Can you even believe it?

Someone designed this print. And then a wallpaper company said, "Heck yes. Let's make this into wallpaper. Of course people will use it in their homes. Duh."

These are the things you think about when you are a print designer, I suppose.

I think I will put these bits under glass and hang them on the wall.

After all, that's where they belong.

I can see why you loved this wallpaper! It's so gorgeous and scrumptious. This is going to look fabulous framed and hanging on the wall. What a cool find!

I had some wallpaper in my bathroom in the 70's VERY much like that, 'cept it was vinyl. I used it from the ceiling down to the wall tiles, so it wasn't overwhelming.

I lived in a very staid suburb, but no one from the League of Women Voters ever complained when they used that bathroom.

Thx for reminding me. I just loved that room.
