391: spring qm 2010 vintagey halloween and patty young

Friday at Quilt Market was all about walking the show and being excited for the Wiley book launch party that night.

In the second aisle my Halloween-lovin' heart did a jig to see the magical Buttermilk Basin booth:

Oh, man, do I love vintage-y  halloween.

I have some designs I did a while ago that I would love to see on fabric... hm.....

Seriously, how can you not love this stuff? It is perfection.

I asked if I could take pics for my blog and she was like, "Who are you?" at which point I started to quake on the inside and said, "uh, my blog is Yummy Goods..."

"Oh! Hi! I love your blog! I just ask because I like to know where my stuff is going to be shown!"

She was super nice. Hi, Stacy!

........................................................................................................................

As I always say (generally while shaking clenched fists at the sky) "Damn you, ECHINOOOOO!"

The awesomeness of Echino burns... it burns!

More from Kokka:

See?

I actually can't even look in their booth. I just walk the perimeter and glance in.

That's all I can take. What, I'm serious!

......................................................................................................

White on white at Michael Miller:

mmmm, sleepytimes.....

Hey, who's that?

Oh, Unicorn. You so silly.

Patty  Young's booth (modkid):

Wait, what?

Unicorn gets around, doesn't he?

Love these dolls from a fabric panel in Patty's new line Playdate.

Giddy up, Unicorn!

Patty gives Unicorn some good lovin':

Back later with the details of the book launch party and more fabric celebs making out with Unicorn!

xo,

melissa

Unicorn really gets around. I thought he & I had a special connection, but it looks like that's what he tells all the ladies. Sigh... ;-)

I think your unicorn is a bit of a floozy. Lurking in other people's beds, kissing up to Patty. I think you're going to have to give him The Talk soon.

That vintage-y Halloween? Oh my gosh. Looooooove it!

I have a picture of Unicorn for my next post too! Boy did he get AROUND. :) I love all of the Halloween-y pics too. So wonderful to meet you in person. Really looking forward to hearing all about the hot British guys from your trip when I see you in June.

I love Echino fabrics too & can't walk past them without hugging them! Thank goodness I live in Tokyo but then this means I stop to hug fabrics a lot too!

Ha ha ha ha - great post. Echino is evil - agreed. You are stronger than me though. I can't walk away. Unicorn is a wild child!
