381: Jane Eyre comic book!

Look what came in the mail yesterday! Look!

My very own CLassics Illustrated Jane Eyre comic book. Aw, yeah.

 It's from 1963.

Someone tweeted me the link to it on ebay. (Yes, Twitter again.) I emailed the listing to Stuart with a note that said "You should totally get me this."

"What sweet madness has seized me?"

I am in love with this portrait of Charlotte Bronte from the back of the issue:

You can see more pics from inside in the flickr set.

Now I gotta find the Wuthering Heights one.

Wow, this comic book is amazing! I love the illustrations. Looks like it follows the story closely too. Wonder if you own the last one remaining!

Now that's my kind of book! Did you see this one before you did your paintings?

If I had known these existed in high school, would have totally read it instead of cliff notes!!! Need to get the Wuthering Heights version myself, the book is proving too much for me. (um, I'm finding it really-really boring) Never fear though, I am renting the movie instead. Thank goodness there are so many forms to choose from!
