418: chin up

Had kind of a down day yesterday--- the first in a couple of months!

(So, that's good, in a way, right?)

I blew off a bunch of workouts this week and started to crankify.

Sometimes I try to talk myself out of a grumpy mood. Or paint myself out of it.

I needed to hear this, so I painted it to myself:

And today I thought I would gussy it up a bit for you, just in case you needed to hear it too:

xo,

melissa

my DH and I like to mix sayings. We tell each other, "Keep a stiff upper chin". :)

lol, when I read the title of the post, I thought maybe you were adding chin-ups to your yoga and workout routine. I was starting to feel like a total wimp.

but this kind of chin up is one I can get behind!

We all have our down weeks and whatever works to get ourselves out of it is great. Painting yourself out is wonderful I may try it next time.
Thanks for the idea.

Sweet. I needed that. Having a crapper of a week myself. I love the bright colors you used! Hope the weekend treats you well.

And by the way, I've got a period drama for you in case you haven't seen it already, The Young Victoria. omg. The dude who plays her eventual husband Albert is pretty yummy. Not as rugged as our beloved Rochester, but hey, not everyone can be Rochester. cheers.

Welcome to the club of the crapatastic day! All my so called new appliances are breaking in one way or another, didn't buy the warranty, and my camera broke Friday. It beyond help. I am waiting for more to come my way.

ps When we came back from our visit on the Cape we were comparing our favorite memories from the trip. My 5 year old daughter said, "I loved going to the the unicorn girl's store with you mummy." Pretty cute...eh?
